Chag Sameach is an Israeli based non-profit founded in 2006 which helps families during the jewish holidays. Our unique volunteer based structure allows us to pass 100% of the donations we get to families.
About Us
The “Chag Sameach” charity is a social initiative of childhood friends from Jerusalem and many other good people who have joined together, for over 14 years, to raise donations from every possible source and converting 100% of the donations to needy families on Israeli holidays, with complete volunteerism and great love.
Our guiding principle at “Chag Sameach” is that 100% of the donations go to the families. The funds raised are in no way directed to the needs of the association (e.g., salaries, transportation, advertising, rent). Everyone does something voluntarily.
On every holiday, we engage with families, single senior citizens and holocaust survivors by donating food stamps, creating community driven holiday activities, and hosting dinner events. All this is achieved with the help of donations raised and thousands of volunteers working around the clock to help and delight those in need.
Our Mission
Any donation can help another family in need to celebrate the upcoming holiday with dignity. Our guiding principle in Chag Sameach is donating 100% of the money to the families.
The donation is delivered in the form of food stamps provided on a debit card. The card is accepted on all the major grocery stores chains which enables the family to buy their holiday meal. We locate the families with the help of our partners, the welfare departments in various municipalities in Israel.
